Leticia’s beautiful fully-furnished adobe and wood bungalow is nestled amongst the Oaxaca hills, 20 minutes by bus from downtown Oaxaca, one hour on foot if you like to walk. It is a pet friendly place and a dog would be very happy with all the open space to run around. This is an excellent location for avid bird watchers as there is a great variety and people come from all over to observe them.
It is perfect for someone who is seeking a quiet, natural setting to think or be creative. If you want internet or a telephone line, that can be contracted through the local services but you pay for that on your own.
This bungalow has a big open layout with a spacious sitting room, kitchen, a sleeping quarter with two twins beds (or a matrimonial bed) and another spot to work in or set up as you wish (it can even be turned into a second bedroom for you). There is a large, covered patio which leads into the house where you can sit in a hammock and relax. The surroundings are beautiful and safe.
There is always water to bathe and cook with. You have a small stove top to cook on, but no stove. There is a small grill outside on the front patio.
The buses pass every 30 minutes and if you want to get around town you can always call a mototaxi who only charges 5 pesos a person. In town there is a lavandaria to have your clothes washed and you will find small stores where you can buy what you need. On Friday’s there is a market with fresh vegetable, fruit and meat stands.
